Prof. Dr. Anna-Katharina Hornidge is Director of the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) in Bonn and Professor of Global Sustainable Development at the University of Bonn. She is a member and, since 2024, Co-Chair of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU), a member of the Executive Board of the German Commission for UNESCO, and Co-Chair of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Germany. Previously, she was Professor of Social Sciences in the Marine Tropics at the University of Bremen, Head of the Department of Social Sciences at the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research, and Senior Researcher at the Center for Development Research (ZEF).
