Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Kai Ambos is Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Comparative Law, International Criminal Law and Public International Law at Georg-August University of Göttingen, as well as Director of the „Centro de Estudios de Derecho Penal y Proceso Penal Latinoamericano – Centro de Estudos de Direito Penal e Proceso Penal Latinoamericano (CEDPAL)“ of the University of Göttingen. Since 2017, he has been a judge at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague and is an amicus curiae to the Colombian Special Jurisdiction for Peace. He is also List Counsel at the International Criminal Court (ICC). Previously, he served as a judge in Germany alongside his academic position.
