In December 2016, four elected presidents (Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone and John Dramani Mahama of Ghana) told Gambia’s autocratic leader Yahya Jammeh that his time was over.
